4-H Military Preconference

Join military youth program staff from active duty, guard, and reserve programs in fun, fellowship, and learning ahead of the conference. Planned by the 4-H Military Partnership, participants arrive Tuesday night (lodging only) and start Wednesday morning exploring programs, resources, and projects to replicate and share in their child, youth, and family programs.

Registration includes lodging Tuesday-Saturday nights and all meals Wednesday-Saturday, with breakfast included on Sunday morning. It also includes all pre-conference and conference activities. Rock Eagle includes shared cabins with private rooms and baths. Each cabin can house up to 6 participants (or 12 if anyone selects double occupancy). Reservations include linens (sheets, towels, pillows, blankets). 

Registration may be paid by check or credit card, with credit cards incurring an additional service fee. Registration paid by check should be received before conference registration. For programs needing invoicing or special arrangements, email [email protected] with your specific requests. 

Travel to the 4-H Center
Rock Eagle 4-H Center is located north of Eatonton, west of Lake Oconee/Lake Sinclair, and south of Madison, Georgia, and I-20. It is a rural setting surrounded by 1500 acres of the Oconee National Forest.
For those traveling by car, it is easy to locate on the map, and the physical address is 350 Rock Eagle Road, Eatonton, Georgia.It is about 30 minutes from Eatonton, Madison/I-20, and Lake Oconee/Lake Sinclair.
For those flying to the conference, the airport is about 90+ minutes and 70 miles. Car rental is an option. Groome Transportation has a reliable shuttle option from Hartsfield-Jackson Airport to Greensboro, Ga (via the Augusta Route). In most cases, the conference provides transportation to and from the Greensboro shuttle stop. If possible, book your shuttle (Atlanta to Greensboro) for pickup at 3 p.m or 7 p.m. in Atlanta. For your return trip, book pickup in Greensboro at 7:15 or 9:15 a.m. Sunday.
